Some things — about science and anything else — are so surprising that they make almost anyone LAUGH, then THINK. (You’ll find heaps of it, including the Ig Nobel Prizes, at my web site Improbable Research. You’ll also find biographical info there about me, Marc Abrahams.)

I started this MARC’S IMPROBABLE STUFF site to reveal bits of my unpublished books on many topics. Some of those books are complete, others I am writing piecemeal. (Some of those books: Techniques of Successful Con Men, Improbable Sex, Improbable Cats & Dogs, Improbable Coffee & Tea, A Lot of Nerve—Jerry Lettvin and the Brain, SELLA DORE: Mysteries of Many Kinds, AI — Our Employees Are Our Greatest Asset, Feline Reactions to Bearded Men)

Subscribe to get full access to the longer MARC’S IMPROBABLE STUFF items (short items here are free for everyone; long items are only partially visible to free subscribers).

You can find my published books (about improbable research, the Ig Nobel Prizes, bark beetles, and other stuff) via any good bookstore or library. Also, dip into the weekly column called “Improbable Research” that I wrote for thirteen years in The Guardian newspaper.
